the birth attendants are an amazin’ group of volunteer doulas in olympia who support incarcerated pregnant women through pregnancy and labor. we are big fans of the birth attendants!
gateways for incarcerated youth is another olympia-based project out of The Evergreen State College that we appreciate.
books to prisoners seattle is the parent organization that proceeded btp olympia. to this day we do our work in cahoots with the seattle project. our other sibling organizations here in the pacific northwest are in bellingham and portland.
prison activist resource center we aren’t super familiar with the work these folks do, but it looks to us like good stuff.
