volunteering with BTP
The Books To Prisoners space is located at the corner of Sixth and Thomas Streets, on Olympia’s westside. You will see our signs on the corner, and well as in the garden beds and directly outside the entrance to our workspace (through the garage). Volunteers are free to stop by during any of our posted hours (see below). The usual tasks include:
- Reading letters and filling the requests for books therein.
- Shelving recently donated books.
- Wrapping completed requests into neat little packages to be sent through the mail.
